The Award is proudly displayed at the main reception desk to this 5-star ‘Art Deco’ hotel, reiterating once again the chic and unique nature of this beautiful property. The Award of Excellence is based on the ratings of TripAdvisor users, people who have actually used the services and have rated them in a public forum.

The TripAdvisor accolade, which honours hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor, and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide. Only 10 percent of accommodation listed on TripAdvisor manage to qualify for this prestigious award. TripAdvisor-branded sites make up the largest travel community in the world, with more than 50 million unique monthly visitors, and over 60 million reviews and opinions.
To qualify for the Certificate of Excellence, The Hotel Phoenicia maintained an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travellers on TripAdvisor. Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months. This new award follows on from the recent receipt by The Hotel Phoenicia of the Thomas Cook ‘Award For Excellence’ representing the finest standards and best value for money in luxury and independent accommodation.
