Personality & Role Profile

You are a very capable, smart, and passionate individual, with proven success stories in the Food & Beverage industry. As the Phoenix Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for bringing excellence in all the aspects of our luxurious brand, to achieve a bespoke Guest Experience, successful Revenue Generation and Profitability, and to deliver a committed approach towards Employee Engagement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage the restaurant and the team at all times, in a way that will bring The Phoenicia Malta’s vision and values to life, through the delivery of an ‘on brand’ high quality customer experience.
  • Develop and refresh menus and wine lists, in partnership with the F&B and Kitchen team, to ensure the highest level of guest experience, while being mindful of food and beverage cost achievement.
  • Implement and refine all SOPs related to the delivery of the guest experience.
  • Ensure compliance to LQA and quality standards.
  • Monitor and action as necessary initiatives to achieve the highest level of guest satisfaction through reviewing and actioning issues as raised through guest feedback – direct/indirect or online.
  • Be a visible and hands-on manager for both guests and employees.
  • You will provide and support on-the-job training and feedback to your team, in relation to delivering the highest level of experience.
  • Ensure the highest levels of health, safety and security for employees and guests.
  • Other duties as required.
Desirable Experience, Qualifications, & Attributes
  • Previous experience in managing a restaurant which is known for high level of customer experience, would be a must.
  • Luxury hotel industry experience would be desirable, but not mandatory.
  • You are a someone who communicates with others eloquently, a natural collaborator who is willing to be flexible with working hours.
  • You have strong leadership skills, with a willingness to empower others and provide integral support to our enthusiastic F&B team.
  • You are well-versed with the latest modern trends and techniques in the F&B world.
  • You possess a very high standard of personal presentation, that exudes confidence, professionalism and above all, a welcoming personality to our guests and the team.
  • You have excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
