With so many events happening in Malta throughout the year, it’s no surprise that many take place around The Phoenicia Malta. Popular venues include the Triton Fountain and the Granaries, located 50 metres and 200 metres from the hotel, respectively. 

Malta International Arts Festival

16 - 25 June, Various Locations around Floriana/Valletta

Organised by Festivals Malta, the Malta International Arts Festival runs for 10 days and presents a varied and multi-disciplinary arts programme that embraces music, visual arts, theatre, dance, opera, installations, films, community projects, and interactive and participatory events that explore and build upon cultural heritage.

Malta International Wine Festival

21 - 25 June, Argotti Gardens, Floriana

Experience the ultimate celebration of fine wine and culture at the Malta International Wine Festival 2023, set amidst the stunning backdrop of the lush Argotti Gardens. From Wednesday, June 21st to Sunday, June 25th, visit the wine festival for an unforgettable evening from 6:00 pm onwards. 

Mediterrane Film Festival

25 - 30 June, Mediterranean Conference Centre

The Mediterrane Film Festival is an annual convention focused on film and creativity, aiming to bring together MED9 countries for collaboration on future film projects and create more opportunities with other European partners, including the United Kingdom. 

Malta Fashion Week & Awards

3-7 & 10 July, Floriana

The Malta Fashion Week and Awards provides a space through which the talented individuals working in Malta’s fashion industry may be recognised, while also celebrating fashion’s contribution to visual culture.

BBC Orchestra in Concert

9 July, Granaries, Floriana

BBC Radio 2 and the world-famous BBC Concert Orchestra returns to Malta this July. After the successful “Classic Rock Anthems” theme last year and “It’s a Kind of Magic – The Queen Story” the previous year, The BBC Concert Orchestra returns on the 9th of July, celebrating 100 Years of Hollywood.

Malta Jazz Festival

Considered by the international jazz community as a ‘true’ jazz festival and a beacon of artistic integrity, the Malta Jazz Festival is organised in mid-July by Festivals Malta and presents a panorama of jazz music in all its facets.

Malta International Food Festival

Malta’s biggest food event is back and better than ever for 2023. Get ready for the ultimate gastronomic experience at the Malta International Food Festival! From July 19th to 25th, Triton Square in Floriana will be transformed into a food lover’s paradise. 

Pinta Beer Festival

17 - 20 August, Triton Fountain, Floriana

Get ready to experience the ultimate beer lover’s dreamland at the Pinta Beer Festival, returning for its 2nd edition in Floriana, Malta from the 17th to 20th August 2023. With over 300 different beers under one roof, including local and international breweries from around the world, this festival is a beer enthusiast’s dream come true!

Robbie Williams, one of the world’s biggest artists who rose to fame with the band Take That and then as a solo artist, has added Malta to the European Leg of his XXV Tour – celebrating 25 years of his solo career – and will be performing at the Granaries in Floriana.

Andre Rieu

1 & 2 September, Granaries, Floriana

Together with his 60-piece Johann Strauss Orchestra and many soloist André Rieu will give you what you’ve come to expect from his performances: the maestro conducting his 60-piece Johann Strauss Orchestra and playing his world-famous Stradivarius violin to create a colourful concert full of surprises.
