Born in Saint Petersburg, brought up in Vienna, and now living in Malta, Daria Troitskaia ’s love of travel is only matched by her fondness for capturing the invisible, in nature and in others. She turned to photography to preserve memories from her trips. Storytelling and intriguing context are what make her pictures; her static images are living paragraphs of a story which has been partly told, and will be retold.

Since moving to Malta in 2017 from Saint Petersburg, Daria has made a name for herself by capturing the essence of Maltese street life (“Maltese Exposures”, available online at bdlbooks.com). Her works were displayed in various exhibitions in Russia and Europe. Current exhibition showcases some of her well-known works made over the last years and introduces her new project with aerial photographs of Malta.
