You are an energetic and passionate person thriving to ensure that all our guests receive the best hotel experience from the moment they arrive till they depart.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome guests and visitors to the hotel
  • Greet visitors and guests on departure, wishing them a pleasant journey.
  • Open cars/taxis doors arriving at the hotel and give help to people in need, especially old, disabled, children, and people carrying heavy loads.
  • Remove all items of luggage from the vehicle of the guest and call a porter to take delivery of guest luggage into the hotel
  • To call taxis for guests and visitors, to open doors as appropriate and to give directions as required.
  • To direct traffic on the hotel forecourt and to ensure that the forecourt and entrance are not obstructed in any way and kept clean and tidy at all times, including the lobby area.
  • Handle all guests’ requests, queries, comments and complaints in a courteous and prompt manner, taking the necessary action steps and ensuring follow-through where required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provides courteous service to guests by adhering to The Leading Hotels of the World and the hotel standards
  • Demonstrates sound knowledge of all services and facilities provided by the Hotel
  • Processes guest check-in and check-out accordingly as per departmental standards and procedures
  • Ensures that policy and procedure standards are adhered to when registering guests, escorting guests to their room, dealing with reservations and walk ins and any special requests
  • Ensures guests’ satisfaction by anticipating their needs and attending to their requests and enquiries, courteously and efficiently.
  • Act as Night Audit/Manager shifts reliever as required and perform any related duties as described in the policy
Desirable Experience, Qualifications, & Attributes
  • Relevant experience in a luxury hotel environment
  • Good Knowledge of Maltese history and culture
  • Good command of English (both oral and written) and at least two other languages preferably French and German
  • Computer literate and good working knowledge of Opera (PMS)
  • Has excellent communication skills and pleasant telephone manners
  • Team player and able to work in shifts (including weekend and nights)

Job Description

We are looking for an energetic, passionate individual to assist the Front Office Team on a full-time basis. Primarily responsible to greet and welcome all guest to the hotel and relieve guests of their luggage on arrival. Ensure that the highest standards of hospitality and welcome are demonstrated at all times, and that all guest requests are dealt with in a prompt and courteous manner. In addition to assisting guests with luggage, Porters are also responsible to collect and distribute post, parcels, and other deliveries. Also, the Porter must deal with general inquiries and ensure the lobby and forecourt areas are always clean and tidy.

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • To be present at the Concierge /Reception desk or in the lobby to be ready to assist guests, colleagues and visitors when requested.
  • Greet and welcome guests with the appropriate greeting of the day and direct them personally to the reception desk.
  • Assists guests with luggage to the front desk.
  • Ensure collection and delivery of guest luggage and equipment in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Deliver messages, packages and flowers to guests’ rooms and other offices.
  • Assist with answering the telephone and taking messages, transferring calls or dealing with inquiries.
  • To deliver overnight all guests newspapers, according to the prescribed procedure.
  • To carry out guest shoeshine.
  • To assist the night manager in performing any reasonable request.
  • To carry out room service orders overnight, according to the prescribed procedure.
  • To call taxis for guests and visitors, to open doors as appropriate and to give directions as required.
  • To valet park guest cars in the hotels allocated car parking spaces.
  • To direct traffic on the hotel forecourt and to ensure that the forecourt and entrance are not obstructed in any way and kept clean and tidy at all times, including the lobby area.
