room with a view
All 136 of our luxury bedrooms and suites at The Phoenicia Malta have been lovingly restored.
In collaboration with Peter Young Design, The Phoenicia Malta have worked to retain the original features of the rooms, including the authentic tiled floors. Our rooms benefit from astonishing views made possible by the hotel’s unique vantage point overlooking the island’s historic buildings, the Grand Harbour and Valletta, Malta’s capital city.
Megaliths, medieval dungeons and Calypso’s Cave – The Maltese Islands are positively mythical.
The narrow meandering streets of the towns and villages are crowded with Renaissance cathedrals and Baroque palaces. The countryside is dotted with the oldest known human structures in the world and the Islands have rightly been described as an open air museum.

“The staff are friendly and attentive – especially those in the cocktail bar. We thought the welcome drinks and canapés on our arrival on Thursday night were charming and reminded us of something out of an Agatha Christie (minus the murders!). The hotel manager was also lovely and spontaneously invited us to join a cognac and chocolate tasting in the bar after two people had dropped out.”

“I cannot recommend this Hotel enough, not just for the wonderful décor and atmosphere, but for the outstanding staff who work here and truly make it a first class experience. Every member of staff gave us wedding memories that will last a lifetime, we can’t thank them enough. We can’t wait to return for our anniversary.”

Food also available at the pool bar. Lots of choice for breakfast with eggs cooked to order and a lovely buffet selection. Loved being able to sit out on the terrace and have breakfast”
